A big big thank you to the Clothworkers’ Foundation who made a grant of £20,000 to the project in October 2014. This was specifically to purchase new bikes in their entirety, refurbish the upstairs bathroom in Castree House, replace all fencing around animal enclosures and a variety of other equipment needs such as timber and other materials to repair the BMX track.
To all of you our heartfelt thanks. We were able to replace every single bike, tricycles and pedal quad and will make a huge difference to the Centre as most of the previous set of bikes were 7 years old and had seen a lot of hard wear and tear. The work on the bathroom starts on February 4th and the fencing will all be replaced in the Spring when the weather improves.
