The event this year, on 16th June, was attended by in excess of 350 people. We were very pleased to see a number of Lewisham Councillors with their families and also some representatives of the grant-making trusts who fund us. Despite terrible weather leading up to the day and shortly afterwards, the rain held off, just about, and most people stayed until the very end.
The raffle was again very impressive with a mountain bike, a Dualit toaster, a Clarion car cd stereo, a power washer and £100 of high street vouchers as the main prizes. Our thanks to all those who most generously donated to the raffle prizes.
Our thanks also to the many people who gave up their time to cook the barbeque, run the teas and cakes, run stalls and in particular those who gave up a few days of their time before the fete to ensure that everything was ready on the day.
And the good news, we made £1540.
