On Sunday 3rd June 2007 Emma Haley, Sheree Dudley, Caroline Ball and George Ball ran in the Fairford 10k. They asked if they could run to raise money for Macaroni Wood and I’m delighted to say that their efforts have raised a stunning £3,500 for our project.
At the fete on the 16th June all four of them were here to hand over the cheque.
We intend to use the money toward the cost of converting Castree garage into a play area for our users. The garage is little used and would give us an extra large play area accessed through the passageway of the building itself. We hope to have this work completed by the Autumn.
Our thanks to go to all four of the runners for thinking of us and for raising such a large amount. Emma even ran the second half of the run with shin splints!
