Castree House Bedroom

There are 3 bedrooms on the ground floor. All have single beds and there are 3, 2 and 2 beds in each. Each bed has a waterproof mattress protector, fitted sheet, duvet and pillow. Cot sides to the beds are available. All the rooms have fitted carpets, a washbasin, wardrobe and chest of drawers. All the ground floor bedrooms have nurse-call alarms linked to a consol in the living room and one of the upstairs bedrooms. Doors from the bedrooms open on to the patio and the front drive. They cannot be opened from the outside. It is possible to turn on an alarm system at night which sounds throughout the building should a bedroom door to the outside be opened.

The downstairs bathroom adjoins the largest bedroom and has a wheelchair accessible shower, free standing bath, toilet and washbasin. We also have an electric hoist, a changing table and a wheelchair for use in the shower. This room is also connected to the nurse call system

The Laundry room has a heavy duty large washing machine and tumble dryer and a chest freezer.

There is a separate Toilet on the ground floor with a wheelchair accessible toilet and nurse call alarm.

The playroom is a new addition to the facilities available in Castree House. It was converted from the old garage in January 2008 and is now fully equipped as a sensory playroom with equipment including a light projector, bubble tube and two sensory boards.

The room also has a 38” flat screen TV with digital television, a DVD player, a good quality sound system and a computer that is connected to the internet.

We also have art materials and other play equipment and everyone who has used the room have been hugely impressed with this new addition to the facilities that we can offer to our visitors.
